A young Prince lives in a magnificent Castle, but despite all his riches the Prince is selfish and heartless. On a cold winter’s night, an old woman comes to the Castle and asks him to accommodation for the night in Exchange for a red rose. When the Prince smiled at her ragged appearance, she warns him to not be fooled by appearances because one finds true beauty only in secret. But the hardhearted Prince will not soften and sent away the woman.

Suddenly, however, the ugliness of the old woman turns and a beautiful sorceress comes to the fore. The Prince now sees what he previously wanted to see, and wants to apologize, but it’s too late. The sorceress has seen that there is no love in his heart. As punishment, she turns him into a hideous beast and enchanted the Castle and all who live in it. Shamed by its repulsive form the Prince hiding now, only a beast more loathing is in his castle. The only window to the outside world is a mirror for him.

The rose, which had given him the beautiful sorceress, but is an enchanted rose, that many years should bloom. He would learn to love another person, and to win his love, before the last petal fell, then the spell would be solved. It fails, he was doomed to remain a beast forever. When the finally years expires the Prince in despair and lose all hope. After all, who would ever bring it about themselves and loved a beast? Not far from the Castle lives together at this time of that beautiful Belle with her father. Belle is bored and longs for an exciting life. One night her father in the forest gets lost, he comes to the castle of the beast and want to seek refuge there.
